  • Slippers/flipflops for beach days

  • Light rain jacket/poncho for the tropical passing showers.

  • Adventurous locals don’t wear much white clothes. Or bring a white shirt and make your own custom Red Dirt Shirt :)

  • Camera(s)… our island is beautiful in every direction. Kaua‘i is a photographers dream island. Social Media loves us too!

Hostel Features:

  • Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean, enjoy the gentle breezes of the Pacific TradeWinds. Wake up to sunrise on the ocean each morning!

  • Our 3rd Floor Deck (Lanai) Overlooks the Blue Lagoon, Pacific Ocean, & Kauai’s Mountains. Our Sightseeing Deck has some of the Most Beautiful Views on the Coconut Coast of Kauai!

  • Whale watching from all floors (seasonally Nov-Mar)

  • Hostel Reception open 8AM – 10PM. Later hours by arrangement

  • No Curfew, but please respect quiet hours in the house after 10PM

  • Bus stops located DIRECTLY outside of our hostel (going both directions)

  • 8 Bathrooms. 6 of them have showers, all have hot water. Bathrooms are all lockable, single person use.
