Why can’t I reserve?

If you have attempted to make a reservation online and it will not go through, it is possible that we may have to manually set your reservation.

 Do you have lockers?

For sure! We have FREE lockers for our guests convenience. Fall asleep knowing your valuables are secured. Bring your own lock or buy one from us for $10.


Do you have quiet hours?

Yes! A good night’s rest is very important, so we enforce quiet hours after 10:00 PM and going until 7:00 AM. Kitchen closes during that time too.


My flight leaves Kauai later in the day. Can I stay at the hostel while I wait for my flight?

Sure! If you have stayed more than 2 nights with us you’re welcome to hang out around the Beach House until you head to the airport. You will still need to checkout of your accommodation, but you are welcome to use the bagged storage to keep your belongings secured. Must present your plane ticket to staff. If you only stayed with us 1 night you must pay a utilities fee of $25 by 10am to stay into the afternoon and evening hours at the hostel.


How late can I check in?

You may check-in up until 10:00 PM daily.

After 10 PM you may still check-in but you must contact us in advance at (808) 631-0853 to let us know you will be arriving late. There is a cash fee of $20 for the check-in personal waiting up for you.

You may arrive as early as 8AM. Store your bags in a locker and go and have a great day. We try to have all accommodations ready by 1pm. You’re welcome to use the facilities after completing paperwork and checking in with staff.


Where is the nearest bus stop?

The bus stops directly outside of our hostel along Kuhio highway, going in both directions.

North Bound Stop: Kapa‘a N/C (Neighborhood Center)

South Bound Stop: Across Kapa‘a N/C (Neighborhood Center)


What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash (please have exact change), Visa and Mastercard credit cards.

***At the moment we are only accepting cash and please bring the exact change upon arrival. We do not have a till at the front desk to be able to offer change.


Do you have a kitchen?

Yes of course! It is well stocked with all different kinds of things such as pots, pans, cutlery, microwave, toaster, etc! We have refrigerators and freezers for you to store your groceries in as well. The kitchen has a free spice rack and other goodies for you to use!


Are there laundry facilities?

There is a 24-hour laundromat located just down the block from us where you may do your laundry. (8 Minute Walk / 2 Minute Drive / Two Traffic Lights Away, Behind Shell Gas Station)

We do have some clothes lines that you can hang up any wet clothing / towels / etc. from the beach or elsewhere.


Is there free parking?

Yes! We have a parking lot on the highway side of our building and an additional one located on the ocean side of our hostel. There is also lots of free parking along Kuhio Highway in both directions.


Are there any age restrictions?

All guests must be 18 years of age or older or be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.


What do I need to check-in?

You will need a photo ID such as a passport or another government issued ID. A credit card in your name. If paying in cash, please have exact change.


How long can I stay at the hostel?

The maximum duration of a stay is 14 days.


What is your cancellation policy?

When placing a reservation you must be sure of your dates of stay. Once you have paid, there are no refunds. We are a small business, cancellations and inaccurate availability can really hurt the flow of our guests. We will issue you credit for your nights if you notify us 48 hours in advance.

If you make a reservation and do not show up by 9PM, without notifying us in advance of your expected arrival date, your entire reservation will be cancelled. You must contact us as soon as possible at (808) 631-0853 or (808) 652-8162 to let us know of a late or delayed arrival, for example, the next day.


Is there a supermarket nearby?

Yes! Kapa‘a town has everything you need. Within a five minute walk from the hostel you have a convenience store, sit down restaurants, fast food restaurants, and 2 supermarkets with shopping centers! Small shops close by 5 or 6. Restaurants usually closed by 8 or 9pm. Supermarkets usually open until 11PM! Safeway is a 24 hours Supermarket located in town!
